Francis Duroy pursues a career as a concert performer which leads him to all continents.

Successively Soloist of the Orchestra of the National Opera of Lyon then Solo Violin of the National Orchestra of Lyon, he then went on to an international career as soloist and chamber musician and created Musicalta of which he was artistic director.

A guest soloist on international stages, from Kioi Hall in Tokyo to Carnegie Hall in New York, from Rudolfinum in Prague to the Palace of Arts in Mexico, Francis Duroy performs with orchestras from around the world.
A chamber musician sought after in international festivals, Francis Duroy endeavors to interpret the great works of the repertoire without neglecting the lesser known composers from the Baroque period to today’s music. Witness the CD recording of the sonata opus 64 for violin and piano and the Quintet by Charles Koechlin, which received glowing review.

He collaborates with many composers including Michaël Levinas, Philippe Leroux, Wolfgang Motz and Nicolas Vérin who dedicated his work “Chassés croisés II” to him for violin and piano.
